About FoTC
We are a community group actively working to preserve and restore the environment of Toolern Creek
Our Objectives:
- to provide support for and to foster public awareness of the reserve and the Toolern Creek
- to assist with special projects selected by the GROUP in consultation with the Melton Shire Council and Melbourne Water
- to bring into contact people with an interest in the Toolern Creek and reserve
- to support the effective conservation of native flora and fauna in Victoria
- Volunteers monitor the health and quality of the waterways by testing on a regular basis
Join Us in Making a Difference
Anyone can become a Friend, visitors are welcome. We work on projects to help conserve and protect our natural environment. We meet at Freeway Reserve, Cnr Raymond St and Tamar Drive, Melways Map 337 A12 for our activities, unless otherwise notified.
Group Activities include:
- Annual Tree Monitoring
- Rubbish Collection
- Frog Census
- Water Watch
- Tree Planting
- Seed Collection
- Bird Watching
- Weed removal and improving habitat
- Walking Group Monday 10:30am
